When a document is scanned, it goes into an Evernote notebook named Archives. There is also a Dropbox desktop client on my home computer, allowing the backup to be synced back there too.Īt home a ScanSnap scanner allows me to scan the paper documents I want to keep. The Dropbox desktop client syncs the content of this folder to my online Dropbox account. Every night I have a script running that exports and zip my Evernote notebooks to a local folder that happens to also be a Dropbox folder. It is set to start at Windows logon and to sync in background so that the Evernote local database stays up to date. I still have Evernote for Windows on that computer, it serves another purpose.
